Is your house clean enough to date?

I've heard lots of complaints about people not wanting to have their dates over because "My house is a MESS!" Simply, clean it. I know you're busy, but do watch and tv? How about kill time on Facebook or reading this blog? My posts aren't going anywhere.

Take an hour and vacuum one day. No scratch that, take an hour and pick up. I always have to at least get shit off the floor before I can vac. If an hour won't do your place, then do one room. If it takes more than an hour to clear one room, it's time. Pick a day and clean. Invite a few friends who are close and maybe have already seen the sty and offer them beer and pizza. No food or drink until it's done!

I've done cleaning here and there during the commercials of Sons of Anarchy. During one show I cleaned the cat box, took out the garbage and recycling, did the dishes and got the ba-zillion cat toys off the floor. Well got it down lesser-a-zillion. It’s not like the commercials aren’t loud enough you won’t hear when the show is back on.

However you need to do it, just do it. Why? Unclean room says unclean mind. No not that way, as in a mind unorganized with no direction. Come on, how hard is it to pick up? My desk is a mess most of the time, but once a week I at least organize it. Get rid of all the little piles, file, throw out, shred, put back in the bookshelf and wipe off the coffee tea rings off. If I’d known tea stains worse than coffee I might have never switched.
